Bobby started Comfort Craftsman to treat people like neighbors and take real pride in the work, and that mindset is reflected in every install, recommendation, and review. Bobby Wilhelm’s passion for HVAC started young, riding along to jobsites with his dad and soaking up everything he could about the trade. That early curiosity grew into a career built on skill, integrity, and a genuine drive to help people feel safe and comfortable in their homes. Robert (Bobby) Wilhelm, of Comfort Craftsman HVAC, Livonia, Michigan, put a huge smile on my face this week, just in time for the 4th of July. I had purchased two heat pumps of different brands almost a year ago, one of which was successfully installed, while the other unit was deemed to be faulty and returned to the vendor (Menards), which did a good job of providing a replacement by arrangement with the product distributor. (Though this was not as easy as it sounds, as it took several months to locate and contact the distributor, only to find out that they did not provide any product servicing in Michigan or any neighboring state). However, the new unit then sat in my garage for three or so months (while we swelted in the recent 90+ heat!), as the original installer played hide-and-seek with me and every other HVAC company that I called on said they only installed their own units, not to mention that no-one was anxious to pick up on a job that another party had started. Eventually, someone from my regular HVAC company (A. J. Danboise) recommended Robert, who kindly agreed to make an exception in my case. Robert did an excellent job of installing the new unit, finally bringing to an end a frustrating drama that had lasted literally a whole year!

Bobby Wilhelm is an AMAZABLE human being! Bobby IS THE Comfort Craftsman! I spoke with by phone and met with in person about five HVAC professionals. I chose Bobby, because of his exemplary combination of knowledge, communication skills, competency and kindness. He really cares about his craft. He exudes integrity and intelligences. I trust him. He often conducted work while no one was home, and we felt completely comfortable. The heating and cooling works perfectly. And the job was huge. He literally built our entire duct system in the attic and installed a brand new system of forced air heating and cooling, furnace and air conditioning. He has social and emotional intelligences most of us can only dream of. Emotionally and socially poised and skilled. A bit of an artist. And certainly an indoor climate control true scientist. Did I mention that he is excellent with communication? To me that is so important. We are truly grateful and highly recommend him!
